The success of books such as \u201cGlobal Inequality\u201d by Branko Milanovic, \u201cInequality: what can be done?\u201d by the late Tony Atkinson, and the international best seller \u201cCapital in the 21<\/span><sup><span lang=\"en-US\">st<\/span><\/sup><span lang=\"en-US\"> Century\u201d by Thomas Piketty, is evidence of a revival of interest in inequalities among policy makers and the general public. LPS researchers have been and are currently involved in work on economic insecurity, social vulnerability and income mobility in Italy and other European countries.
