He has served as a consultant for the Ministry of Social Affairs, INPS (National Social Security Institute), the Lombardy Region, and many other institutions. He was a visiting scholar at the University of California \u2013 Berkeley, the University of Barcelona, the University of Lausanne, and Harvard University.
