Through research, training, and consultancy activities, the Lab provides opportunities for the creation and exchange of knowledge on the transformations affecting contemporary societies, at different territorial scales, as well as the policy responses to these changes.

The research group’s expertise is multidisciplinary, combining a deep understanding of social research methods with a focus on sociology, urban studies, economics, and comparative welfare policy. The Lab fosters synergies with other areas of expertise within the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies.
