Stefania Cerea is an independent researcher. Since 2004, she has been collaborating with the Social Policy Lab, focusing on economic, urban and territorial sociology and social policies. From 2009 to 2018, she was adjunct professor of Urban and Territorial Sociology at the Polytechnic University of Milan. She also currently collaborates with regional research institutes. Her research areas and interests include the condition of the elderly population and the evolution of long-term care systems. Recently, she has been involved in projects on the condition of frail older people living at home in Europe and on the governmental response to the COVID-19 pandemic in long-term care residences for older people in Italy.
