Inequalities Reproduction in and through Housing
The goal of the project is to examine the relationship between housing conditions and broader socioeconomic inequalities. The socioeconomic status of individuals/families and the way they are affected by social labelling processes (concerning e.g. gender, race, disability) can influence their ability to find decent and affordable housing. On the other hand, poor housing conditions can reinforce vulnerability and poverty, reproducing housing and socioeconomic exclusion to varying degrees of intensity. The research takes place in the cities of Bergamo, Brescia and Milano.
