Il sito del Laboratorio di Politiche Sociali

Jan 2011 – June 2014

Working group: Costanzo Ranci, Roberta Cucca, Lara Maestripieri

The project aims to investigate how the local welfare systems affect women’s participation in the labor market and, conversely, how women’s employment can affect the course of life (both men and women), on the structures of inequality, social cohesion and ultimately on the social sustainability of the European model. The analysis focuses on two fundamental aspects: the treatment (for young children and seniors) and investments in human capital (life-long learning paths professionalization). The project examines the political autonomy of local actors in relation to the national and European policy-making, with particular attention to the cultural dimension. This will make it possible to focus on new conceptual tools for understanding the mechanisms that underlie the activation of the female labor market and define how culture can restrict / facilitate the transferability of best practices between different countries and between different localities  www.flows-eu.eu.
